Calcium-containing industrial waste for anorthite ceramics production
نویسندگان
چکیده
The paper describes the application of calcium-containing industrial waste for ceramics production with anorthite formation in phase composition. ceramic mixture compositions are studied using amount 10–80 wt.% phase. physical and mechanical properties laboratory samples studied, their maximum strength being 43.4, 41.2 36.2 MPa gas treatment residue, blast furnace sludge converter slag, respectively. It is found that content grows increasing residue sludge.

متن کاملBritain's last industrial district? A case study of ceramics production
This paper contrasts the theoretical model of #exible specialisation (FS) with recently collected empirical data from the UK ceramic tableware &industrial district', located in Stoke-on-Trent, North Sta!ordshire. Whereas there are facets of the industry that match the FS thesis, countervailing arguments can be found that discount much of their signi"cance. There is a lack of association between...
متن کاملBacterial Cellulose Production from Industrial Waste and by-Product Streams
The utilization of fermentation media derived from waste and by-product streams from biodiesel and confectionery industries could lead to highly efficient production of bacterial cellulose. Batch fermentations with the bacterial strain Komagataeibacter sucrofermentans DSM (Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen) 15973 were initially carried out in synthetic media using commercial sugars and crud...
متن کاملUse of vitrified urban incinerator waste as raw material for production of sintered glass - ceramics
The crystallisation behaviour of vitrified industrial waste (fly ash from domiciliary solid waste incineration) was examined by differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffractometry and scanning electron microscopy. It was demonstrated that powder processing route was required to transform the vitrified industrial waste into glass-ceramics products. Time-Temperature-Transformation (TTT) diagrams ...
متن کاملMicrobial conversion of sterol-containing soybean oil production waste
Soybean extract residue (scum), a waste of soybean oil production, was examined as a raw material for C17-ketosteroid production. As a model process, its bioconversion to 9α-hydroxyandrost4-ene-3,17-dione (9-OH-AD) by Mycobacterium sp VKM Ac-1817D was studied. The content of transformable sterols (sitosterol, stigmasterol and campesterol) in scum was estimated at ∼14%. The bioconversion of scum...
